I'm kinda embarassed to like this. I happened to catch it by accident the first time, but it's dragged me in. It took me a little while to remember who was who of the characters (Sugar isn't the main character), but Kim's character and the ups and downs of her love life somehow keeps you hooked.
Is it nostalgia for my own early years? Same reason the Wonder Years was so successful? Yes, even though it's quite different (girls<->girls)
Think modern-America Wonder Years that doesn't distort the black/white ratio. It's more comedy-oriented/less feel-good. I get a bit annoyed by Chris' narrative though. Where's Winnie? :-)
